De Rode Rodelink filmmaker kit is een uitstekende en eenvoudige oplossing voor draadloze opnames. Deze draadloze microfoon werkt via Wi-Fi signaal en zendt dus een digitaal signaal. Hierdoor is er minder kans op stoorgeluiden. Er zijn 8 kanalen te kiezen. Het signaal is zowel van op de zendmodule als de ontvanger te muten en unmuten. Het systeem heeft een bereik tot 100m.
De ontvanger en zender kunnen zowel gevoed worden met AA-batterijen of via de micro-USB aansluiting. Zo kan bijvoorbeeld ook gebruik gemaakt worden van een powerbank.
Bijgeleverd zit de Rode lavalier: een uitstekende microfoon die makkelijk kan verborgen worden in de kledij.

The unit can be mounted on a standard camera shoe mount, 3/8″ thread or belt-clip, and for added versatility the shoe mount can be located in one of two positions. The lightweight transmitter (TX-BELT) can be fitted to a belt or clothing and features a locking thread to ensure the microphone connection is as secure as possible. RØDE has included an omnidirectional lavalier microphone in the kit to provide the highest possible audio reproduction quality.
